Okay, so could I wire it like this? 2 seperate Pickup sets 1 instrument

Also would there be a way to make it so all three pickups were being used at once, as well as having the option to use just the P bass, or just the J bass? If so how would I go about doing that. I want to have the most versatility out of my set up as possible. Edit: Stupid question just...

2 seperate Pickup sets 1 instrument

Would I wire each circuit the same, but instead of soldering to the jack, just solder to the switch? If so where should I go to get the best quality switch for my money?

2 seperate Pickup sets 1 instrument

I have a dinky p bass that has been the victim of many modifications at my hands. My latest interest is to take an extra set of Jazz bass pickups and electronics and add them to the P bass on a seperate circuit using the same jack if possible. Any idea on how to do that? I'd like it to use a...

    Looking to spend $300-$400

I live in south jersey, the one I would be going to would be the one in Wilmington Delaware. No sales tax for the win! :bassist: But what's the name of this small music shop?

    Question about buying a head

Will do, but most of the music stores in my area carry very few bass related pedals/accessories. I might just have to buy one and see how it sounds and return it if I don't like it.

    Question about buying a head

I called my local music stores today and asked what they had in their used inventories, it was very slim on bass stuff. just a used SVT4 or something like that, and an SWR Working man 400, and then some smaller wattage stuff.

    Question about buying a head

That's awesome. Thanks for pointing that out. You just saved me a couple hundred bucks. What's the difference between the MXR M80 and the Sansamp driver?

    Question about buying a head

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the MXR M80 is a DI. How exactly do you wire a DI into the chain of things? And what exactly do they do?

    Looking to spend $300-$400

I'll have to see how much money I have after my next pay check or two, but I might go with the GK MB500. That looks like a solid little head. Looks better than the Ampeg PF-350 or the PF-500.

Okay, I read that he has used those, but that he also uses Big Muffs. I don't know which he used for that song though.

For fretless tone, I'd like to get a growly type tone similar to Jaco.

    Question about buying a head

Okay, I just posted over in the effects forum. I listed those two pedals because those are two that Flea use(d/s).

    Looking for somthing that

could give me some fuzz/distortion tones similar to that used by Flea in All Around the World, and various effects as used by Les Claypool throughout his career. What are some good pedals to start with? Max I'd like to spend is $200 for a fuzz/distortion pedal, and $150 on other stuff.

    Looking to spend $300-$400

I'd be using my current Acoustic B410 (4x10). I'll probably build myself another 4x10 this summer before I have to go back to college again.

    Looking to spend $300-$400

Any other suggestions? I haven't played one of those yet, however this weekend I'm going to go to GC and try it out. Any reviews on the SWR Working Man series? There's a used one at the local GC for $300, as well as an ampeg SVT400 for $500 (If the SVT400 is worth it I might try and scrap...

    Looking to spend $300-$400

I'm looking to buy a new Bass head, and I want to find the best head within the $300-$400 (USD) price range. I currently have a Warmoth fretless Deluxe 5 jazz bass, but I'm looking into getting a fretted neck for it. I like a deep rumbly bass, but I also want something that has some good...

Deals you got on a bass or bass equipment that were UN-BELIEVABLE

A friend traded me his Warmoth Deluxe 5 Jazz Bass with Active Bartolinis in it for my Fender Rumble 75w amp. The bass was in great shape too, just a wooshy volume pot that he fixed for me. Came with a hardshell case, and a Crybaby Bass wah pedal. As well as strap locks.

    Question about buying a head

Unfortunately the svt3 pro is slightly out of my price range. A question about the PF350: Is it capable of getting distortion from the gain? Because that's really what I'm concerned with. My Acoustic just can't do it. Or would I be better off just getting a Big Muff or some other distortion...

    Question about buying a head

I want some natural distortion, right now the Acoustic b200h with the gain turned all the way up there's no distortion whatsoever. It's as clean as could be. I want something that can get some growl to it when set right. Right now I do have an old BOSS guitar O/D pedal, but its not deep and...

    Question about buying a head

How reliable are those? I'm probably going to get one, thanks for reminding me they existed. I was actually tempted to buy the PF-350 but I ended up getting the acoustic setup, which was actually pretty nice, it just couldn't get a good growl.
