Deals you got on a bass or bass equipment that were UN-BELIEVABLE

Did you ever buy a Bass, amp or piece of equipment that you couldn't believe the price you paid for it? I have been lucky in the sense that I shop around and always try find the best deals.

I bought my rig and my latest bass used. But got them for under half of what they're actually worth new(and in perfect condition) I also managed to track down a guy who was great at building pedal replicas. And built me a replica of the roland ap-7 "Jet Phaser".

The rig- Ashdown Abm 900 head with an ABM 810 1200 watt cab. Price new- about 2 thousand euro. I got it for 800 euro. The guy was moving to England and had to offload the rig, as it would cost him a bomb to ship it and he didn't need it.

Replica of the jet phase- 150 euro. I know it's not the real thing. But the Jet Phase is a very unique pedal. If I wanted to buy the actual pedal, it would have set me back about 400-600 euro(I've seen the price vary on this one)

And finally I am buying a warwick streamer Jazzman(Left handed). I am picking it up next week. Am dying with anticipation on this one. As haven't had a new bass in 4 years. Am picking this up for 730 euro. They retail new for around the 2,600 euro mark.

I have been lucky, the bass especially, being left handed, there is hardly any good basses in the shops. There's 3 main large music shops in Dublin(capital of Ireland). Waltons, music maker and X-music. And between them all, you might find a squier or an sx lefty starter bass in each one, and one fender precision left handed for each. I'm not sure if it's as bad in the states and other Countries around Europe.

Have any of you guys got deals you couldn't believe yourself?(or the ones you thought hmmmm too good to be true)

A friend traded me his Warmoth Deluxe 5 Jazz Bass with Active Bartolinis in it for my Fender Rumble 75w amp. The bass was in great shape too, just a wooshy volume pot that he fixed for me. Came with a hardshell case, and a Crybaby Bass wah pedal. As well as strap locks.

You win. Your prize? My eternal undying envy.

Recently picked up a Squier P from GC for $49. they had it listed as damaged with a broken truss rod... Took it home and disassembled it only to find that it was perfectly fine!
My other squier p was free!
I picked up a Squier VM fretless Jazz for very short money at GC that actually had a broken truss rod... And an intact factory warranty!!
Back in '98 I picked up my (practically new) Carvin B600 in a trade for a reissue ibanez destroyer guitar and $100 cash... Not too shabby.
