How do you combat Neck Dive?

I use an ankle or wrist exercise weight around the strap to keep a T Bass up. Just a 1 pound weight does it. This cost something like $10 or $20 for two weights at a fitness type store and they have a Velcro strap. Very Easy to just put it around the strap.

played or own a buster ?

I like the M9 better than anything I've ever played through. Very clean, quick and way more than enough power. The M3 is great too, but different.

played or own a buster ?

So true. I tried this at home and it really helped. May have to try this live :)

played or own a buster ?

But since you are ok with using a 410 then that might be a great combination

played or own a buster ?

I have a Buster head and a few other Mesa amps. The Buster is barely loud enough for me with a Powerhouse 212 for small bar gigs without bass in the PA. This is with a clean tone, maybe it would be loud enough with the input gain up higher. The 400+, M9, Mpulse 600, etc are way more than...

New Mesa All Tube Amps - Strategy and Prodigy (fresh start v 2.0)

My dealer says they are still hoping for August, but haven't heard anything new for a while.

New Mesa All Tube Amps - Strategy and Prodigy (fresh start v 2.0)

So now my dealer says the Prodigy is shipping in August. They have also told me it would ship in May, June and July previously, but maybe this time they are right. :)

New Mesa All Tube Amps - Strategy and Prodigy (fresh start)

I went the opposite direction and bought a used 400+ while I'm waiting (local guy, great condition). I never should have sold my first 400+. A fool and his money, etc. but I do really love the 400+ Also my dealer just said they are now not expecting to see the Prodigy until July. I'm...

New Mesa All Tube Amps - Strategy and Prodigy (fresh start)

I've had great experiences getting parts from Mesa even for discontinued amps. You can buy many parts through their web site without even talking to anyone, but can get even more if you call.

New Mesa All Tube Amps - Strategy and Prodigy (fresh start)

But yeah, every photo I have seem shows Euro voltage (Sweetwater, etc)

New Mesa All Tube Amps - Strategy and Prodigy (fresh start)

I imagine the photos are of the ones they had in Europe for Musikmesse (spelling?), thus the European voltage marking

    Comfort Strapp

I lacked the skills, or resolve, to get the duo strap to work. I just couldn't get comfortable with it in the hour or so before I lost interest. Did it take people who like this a while to get it dialed in?

New Mesa All Tube Amps - Strategy and Prodigy (fresh start)

These guys have the most detailed info I've seen on line. No idea if it is accurate, but it is detailed http://www.gearhounds.com/mesa-boogie-prodigy-bass-head.aspx Full Compass shows them as for sale too.

New Mesa All Tube Amps - Strategy and Prodigy (fresh start)

Sweetwater had them up in early May with an expected arrival of something like May 14. I ordered a Prodigy and the expensive foot switch and the next day they changed the description to essentially "coming soon, but we don't know when". Last time I asked they were hoping they'd see them in...

Stingray SR5 - G string too close to edge of fingerboard

My B string wasn't close to the edge. It was shifted farther over the fretboard, not toward the edge. It looked like the neck was just not centered. On a positive note the local Guitar Center stores have their Classic SR's about 25% off normal price, so people who like these might want to call...

EBMM Stingray Classic - who doesn't like em?

I just returned one. I liked it, but it was going to take substantial repair work to get the neck to the right place. There was also a hump that was going to require serious work. Maybe the criticism of the flame maple necks is warranted. I liked the sound and feel, but it was just going to...

Stingray SR5 - G string too close to edge of fingerboard

I just bought then returned a new Classic SR5 due to the G string being too close to the edge of the neck. I was told by a well known local repair guy that the bass could have been put into shape with strings close to where they would be on any other bass, but it was going to involve major...

Happy to not have a G string volume issue, that is

Music Man Stingray w/ weak G string

I just bought a Classic SR5. It definitely doesn't have a G string volume problem as far as I can tell. I am running the bass without much bass or treble boost to avoid losing midrange character. If anything the open G string is a little extra loud. It does have the "G string way too close to...
