I have a strange problem with my orange ad 200, all out of a sudden, i changed all tubes about 2 Month ago, the sound started sound crappy, it distorts way to early, its not loud enough for the level I turn it up, (volume and gain both on about 10 o'clock), and the lowend is weak. If start it...

well what i think is, that these are the exactly same necks, that they mount on their basses, so theres no difference between the stock neck on the bass and the replacement one, just normal differences that exist between each neck...which are mostly minimal... that could be the reason why there...

So I m using an orange ad 200b mk3, with an ampeg 610hlf, i think for your purpose it would be perfekt, it has a nice distortion and lots of bass and lowmids... if you change the 6550 poweramp tubes to kt88s the sound is earthshaking, when i turn the bass and volume up high enough, the bottles...

@ Tim1 ive put quarter pound PUs in my p-bass, and i think that this could be the reason for the early distortion, because they have a higher output than standart passiv PUs... I think that the distortion came from the preampsection, because one of the tubes was sort of a crapy looking thing...
