I wouldn't say I play low (not as low as I used to). But at 6'1" I require about 60" of strap length, which is just a bit more than the average strap offers. So, right hand is just about where my front pocket is.

I've been using a Rumble 100 for about 4 months. It's great for home use and small room reversal. The light weight is amazing for grab & go. But I also find the tone lacking and the DI less-than-awesome. Ideally, I would suggest a preamp/DI that fits in your case (Tone Hammer, VT Bass DI)...
