I modded my Hofner CT into a cavern using a legit vintage 1961 pickguard and bracket:
Much better, the bass instantly became twice as versatile. This isn't just my main bass, it's the only one I play. I have others but I always come back to this one without a doubt. It's just the best and it's proven itself time and time again. I ordered celluloid (to fix the pickguard) and new pickup rings (mine are cracked and the screws are ruined). I already have the repair design in mind for the guard. I could fix other things on the bass like the pickup shadow but I'm not too worried about it; it plays well and sounds great. Get's the job done.Cool Ivan - how does it sound with the 'bridge' pu closer to the neck?
Is there a bass in this picture? I see a guy and a cute puppy
