This was a pj squire from 2002; then I ripped the frets from its rosewood board and it lived...

Just in the process of building a P Bass for myself, in the meantime I'm playing around on this. Up to a couple of months ago it had a rosewood fretless neck (well, after I pulled the frets out, filled and sanded it down that it) but the guys I mess around with play fast, dirty and loud. The fretless on the bridge pup and a softish pick had a nice cut, unfortunately my ability can best be described as approximate.... Not really suited to fast playing (or any playing really, but I'm working on it.... Spider exercise anyone?)

Not ready to do a NBD thread (rainy outside) but I did want to share my 'new' 90s Ken Smith Burner. I'm in LOVE!!! The quilting has blown me away. This MIJ beauty is probably the closest I will get to an "ACTUAL" Smith as I'm having a hard time stomaching a > $3K instrument at this point in my life (kids, wife, college, etc) but I am LOVING the tones coming from this monster!

Thanks! What the picture doesn't show (and didn't show on eBay) is that the coated strings have exploded, so they're all fraying as a big mess! I can't wait to hear how this sounds with new strings. I've only got 5 string sets, as it's been a while since I bought 6 string sets!

Just waiting on foil n p46...

Haha, nothing worse than a new toy that needs a final touch to play with it. That's the main reason my P is in boxes and packets.... But I can see the pup being whipped out of "frankenstein" over the next week just so I can build her up.

Too complicated to explain what they are, as I am a parts builder (put-er together-er), but one is am OEM Road Worn and one is LYTE Deluxe!

I couldn't wait until the p46 arrived, the pup is just so i could get a visual. Never had a jazz neck, kinda liking it's feel. My first attempt at a build, really happy with how its come out.
