My collection has seen some changes lately. I am weak, and broken my own principle of no more than 5 basses. I think one has to go eventually, but right now I can not choose. Here is a new family photo:

- "Frankenfretless" (defretted) Ibanez Roadster Series RS900 - my one and only fretless
- Cort Artisan C4 2004 limited - the first bass i bought
- Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass, CIJ - my newest family member. I look forward to see how it finds its place in the family.
- Squier VM Jaguar Short Scale - my main bass for "home by the desk" practice.
Got around to taking a couple of pics of some of my basses. So we have a (2007) HCT Hofner 500/1, (2014) Rickenbacker 4001S and (1998) 4001v63 along with a (2014) HCT Hofner 500/1CV and finally a (1968) Vox Delta IV.

Just added this "53" Fender Precision Reissue, I think that's 9 now, I modded a 1/4lb Seymour Duncan p/u, Hipshot lollipop tuners and a Fender Deluxe bridge her, I named her after my sister Patricia since she was born in 53.

Well, my rationale behind 5 is as follows:
1 main bass with
1 backup (or 2 main basses with different tonal qualities, being backup for each other),
1 short scale,
1 acoustic,
1 fretless.
That is 5. I think I have too much attachment to my first bass, BUT it has great qualities, with a fantastic wenge neck, active/passive switch, great balance/weight/playability. And it is the only electric I have with roundwounds, which is a tonal quality in itself. On the other hand, I doesn't play it much, but to be fair, I rarely play fretless either because I practice songs for the bands most of the time, and so they don't require fretless these days.

Weird & fun. Do you have a sound clip? How deep does it go? Same E as a regular 4 string bass?I've posted this in several other threads, might as well post it here too..
