Not unless it gets a real beating ;) I made a wooden headstock holder 7 years ago that I handcarved out for guitars to do my work, and I stained it Sedona Red. I haven't touched it up yet and it still looks brand new.

Yeah for sure, it came out pretty good. It was my first time painting one but it was a lot easier than I imagined. I just gave it a light sand and did 3 coats color, 3 coats clear. Let it cure for 2 days and it was smooth. It hasn't even scratched from playing, so I'd say it came out exactly how...

Aside from the decals and the ahem, 3 chrome tuners ::mutter mutter:: she's as good as gold. Had to shim the neck to adjust the angle, who knew a chinese takeaway box would be the perfect thickness? :D Once the decals come in and I don't have to go work i'll send some better pics.

What tubes did you put in the Bugera? It's a single in the power section yeah? For $19 I may have to check that out!

The bridge dropped right in, no hassle. Used the supplied screws with the bridge and fit in nice and straight. Any part I can drop in with no fuss means, 'not all corners were cut' :D A few were definitely cut as I found out when I stripped her bare on day 1 lol.

Yeah I noticed the weight of those, and the neck is quite light. The neck on my Hondo back in the 90's was half a Louisville Slugger as well - but thankfully I have big hands :roflmao:

Yeah, it's a Hipshot Kickass bridge, High Mass. I like somewhat higher action on my P's, and it should counter balance the neck dive from that baseball bat of a neck ;)

Body work done. Had to route a little bit for the pots and use the og hardware for the new pickups, but she came together pretty well. All that's left is the neck and just put the last coat of clear on the front of the headstoke in the alleyway :D

Question of the day: Which elephant ear tuners are good drop-ins for the size on the GP headstock? The mounting plate on the Wilkinson tuners I bought are too big. I thought to grind the plates down to size, but if there's a better drop-in option - I'm all (elephant) ears. I don't mind filling...
