    i solved it. i think there were multiple things affected my issue. 1. checked the connections on the pot and PCB. the connector was a bit loose perhaps on the pot ? 2. the IRs i used had a dip at that frequency. it's all good now.

    I experienced the same. However, a spectrum analyser shows some changes at around 3kHz, but it is barely audible. I don't know what is going on.
