    Using a Phil Jones Bass BG-400 w/ Markbass New York 121 8 Ohm.

    I just bought a BG-400 and have been using it in combination with my Markbass New York 121 cab at lower volumes just playin' around. Now, the Speakon out says 8 Ohms on the combo, and the cab is 8 Ohms, but I want to be sure that there isn't something that I am missing and you should only use...

    External speaker compatible with Ampeg RB-210

    I am not experienced in combo amp and external speakers as far as how compatibility works. For example do I need an external speaker with a higher wattage than my combo amp? Would I be able to hook up an Ampeg Portaflex 115 - 400w to my RB 210 - 500w?

    Ok, since my Ampeg BA115 HP blew up at tryout/audition. Which is currently being repaired. Never had an issue in 5yrs so never thought about a backup. Only other amp I have is a Peavey Micro-Bass 20-watt Micro Bass. Which in my opinion sucks no low unless i cut highs and mids to zero. Was good...
