…last one…for real this time

This is my “last built" :D (yeah right I said that last time) before the semester starts May 10.


Specs:
Chrome Hardware (hipshot)
34” scale
4 string
20 jumbo frets
Curly maple neck
Birds eye maple FB (blk veneer in Btween neck and FB)
Ash body (blk veneer in Btween core and top)
5A Quilted maple top (1/2”)
Passive electronics… (jazz @ neck / MM @ bridge)
Purple dye (trans Tint)

I book matched this using my table saw, hand saw (not for long) and my power hand saw.. took me all of 10 mins...... I have a .......I want to say 8” blade on my power hand saw..lets just say the longest one that dewalt has….

I cut the FB with my jig saw.. then I use my mdf template to taper the FB..on my router table....I glue it (FB) to the neck blank.. then I use my FB as a template.. I got that from someone in here….anywho… thank you…

Neck cut out…you can see the blk veneer… I make my headstock thick.. that ½” thing.. looks weak …IMO…. ..so my headstock is 9/16” or 5/8”…..thick………..in this photo the headstock is not cut yet…

Far to few purple basses out there, looks beautiful!!! You may have gotten the FB/neck taper idea from me, but then again I got it from someone on here a while ago...so indeed thanks to whoever posted that :p Looking forward to following this!
