after 5 coats of clear I think I did a total of 10.....

I'm going to sand of about 4 coats or more.. I got to happy with the gun and I have runs around the mm pickup and bridge area....

I us car clear coat and hardner.. I did get some waterbase from target coating... but that water base chunks up... and it was spittin out chunks on my bass body....I'm going to try water base again, Bcause this car clear / hardner always puts "frog eyes" on my bodies... might B......Bcause I spray out side (sun)......
 
I stripped the Clear.. and finished it with tru oil…..well what happen was, I sand through the clear.. and it did not look good at all…. So….

After this one was done… the bug hit me again… so I built another 5 string,,,,

Alder core..walnut top... birdseye maple neck... Pau Ferro fingerboard…gold HW ...passive

Ha! I was thinking when clicking on this thread "At his rate he could have finished that purple bass and built another by now". Nice work as usual, beautiful Jazz's. The walnut and wenge sounds like it'll be cool too, it'll be a heavy one though, both mine were anyway.

...its gonna B a lil heavy... my 1st walnut jazz I used PERUVIAN NOGAL WALNUT.. and that was ah lil lighter.. then this walnut..(Solid Black Walnut)
