On May 8-10 the University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg, TX will host the seventh ¡Viva el Bajo! South Texas Double Bass Festival.
This year we will welcome Robert Nairn from Penn State University/Juilliard School of Music as our featured guest artist. Robert will perform a recital on Friday 05/09 and will present master classes throughout the weekend.
Robert will be joined by a group of extraordinary fellow bass artists who will present recitals, workshops, technique classes and master classes, including Mark Morton (Texas Tech University), David Dawson (Texas State University) , Nick Scales (West Texas A&M) and Greg Hamilton (Concordia College, MN).
This annual event attracts bassists from South Texas and Northern Mexico for a weekend of all things bass! You should join us!
