Double Bass ¿Full Circle 1/4 instrument cable?

I suspect most of us replace it with a more robust cable, but Fishman may have an idea of how many returns are prevented by making sure the customer has the correct cable in good condition when trying out the product. I was in fact involved in developing a product once upon a time, where "customer expected a cable" was a frequent quality issue.
I also wonder if maybe the molded cable is good enough after all, and everybody likes to have a spare.

I have installed a number of these pickups on client's basses. I have one on my own bass, as well. The Fishman supplied cables are substandard and quite microphonic, and are really inadequate for professional use.
I use mine as a bench test cable for my old Conn Strobe tuner, that's all.

It's funny you should post this today. I just came across these cables and used one of them for a bit of practice. I keep them around as spares, but I think it's kind of silly that Fishman includes them with their pickups. For stage work with the Full Circle I use a Monster cable with a right-angled plug. I may order a Planet Waves Circuit Breaker in this configuration as I find the on/off switch very handy.

Fdeck's idea about having a new cable that works for initial set up is something I hadn't thought of. Hmm...
Still.... I'd rather pay more and get a quality cable.
Or pay less and not have a cable included.

I may go back to a Full Circle one day, perhaps. But the one I had crapped out in the middle of its first gig and had to be replaced and I just hate the right angled jack through the D and A strings idea. I've got a Gage Lifeline whose jack I've modified to go behind the tailpiece and that, together with an Underwood mix together very well. As good as a FS IMO. And the Fishman lead - nah.
You can mount the FC jack as you did with the Lifeline. You just need to remove the clip that mounts the jack onto the strings. Or am I not understanding what you mean?
I personally like the full circle's sound.

Sure wish they would make it a little more heavy duty though.

They all eventually failed.( little tiny white wire why are you so fragile? )
Btw.. When people ask about the white wire I always tell them it's my i bass.

Yes that's what I meant but my keyboard skills didn't keep up with my thoughts. What I should have said was that the Lifeline had the same mounting problem which I modified and which I would do to a FC if I were to use one. I really need a good sub-editor - apologies.
