“Waht” is your favourite envelope filter?

Just want to say how good the IE Xerograph Delux is - really an amazing pedal, both with or without a expression pedal. I have the moogerfooger filter and had a Qtron and the XD (imho) blows them both out of hte water.

Finding them is tough esp with current chip shortage, they are going for $$$$ on reverb.

I've never heard one but that WMD protostar looks insanely full featured, esp if you are integrating other analog synth gear.

I am quite enjoying the DreadBox Kinematic, got some really nice tones, kicked off
My Emma Discombobulator for now…

Some interesting choices there. I was an EHX QBalls fan till it died and no one here seemed to be able to fix it. I emailed EHX for help but they offered no help at all. So currently its a California Eden Wah which I'm using and is pretty good though not sure why it has to be 15v power, which meant buying a new power supply unit.

I’ve been through a lot of filters recently; I just sold a 3Leaf Proton V4, I’m sending back my SolidGoldFX Supa Funk… my faves are old and simple.

Still nothing farts when you push the low end like an FX25 imo. Cuts through live, too - unlike some which simply disappear. It needs ‘playing’ to get the best from it, and it’s sensitive to the type of bass you insert, but to my ears it’s the most rubbery and groovy pedal there is!

I’ve owned most filters. The ones that worked best for what I was looking for were the Xerograph Deluxe, which I miss dearly, Lovetone Meatball, and the one that I’ve had on my board for years; the Broughton Josh wah. The Broughton wins hands down for me because it’s simple, intuitive, and sounds great. I do miss the expression pedal input of the xerograph though.

This is pretty much doing my Wahty deeds done phat and nasty. The Mooer Sweeper covers for my beloved Bass Balls while making room for both the Source Audio C4 Synth and Spectrum. I still have my collection of other envelope pedals that I just cannot seem to allow to depart and find regular use for EHX Dr Q, Bass Balls, EHX Bass Balls Modded, Digitech BSW, DOD 240 Filter, MXR envelope filter, and forgive me but I also like the filters in my Zoom pedals and Digitech BP8. I feel as though I am missing mentioning several,
oh well.
