Not really sure what your point is ?
It's plain to see Wal can charge a premium and have a long line of customer prepared to wait.
Those two factors alone should tell you Wal are a well respected company building highly sought after instruments.

One thing everybody needs to think of regarding prices on Wal basses is the cost of living in England is not cheap, there taxes are high as crap, plus Paul has employee's to pay and the cost of timbers and other materials that make a Wal bass. I totally understand there pricing!!!!

If Wal can sell them and can't keep up with demand, then they are priced too cheap. The fact that not everyone wants one enough to pay that much and then wait is completely irrelevant.

Not sure what the point is, either. Yes, Wals are expensive - for all kinds of legitimate reasons; there's a waiting list - again, for good reasons. So, if you really want one? Look for a used one. Instruments in this price range are very, very seldom mistreated, so they're almost always a safe bet. Which is why I bought a used Alembic Epic, instead of waiting for God knows how long - and paying roughly three times what my used one cost. And, if you think a Wal is expensive? Try one of these on for size. A base model Alembic Classico bass will cripple your wallet to the tune of roughly $32,000. About what I paid for a new 4x4 pickup truck...

That was at 1:35PM today. Now at 9:54PM it's up to $7543.50!
