100 watt enough?

Before I got my SWR 350 head, I was using an old Tube Works 100w guitar combo through an old Carvin 1x15. Sounded awesome. Wasn't super loud, but it held up to moderately loud 3 and 4 piece band rehearsal at least.

So 100w CAN be enough, depending on what you need it for.

A watt is watt. If guys in the past (and present) can do gigs with a 25 Watt amp then a 100 Watts will be enough. The solution in getting "enough volume" is more speakers or better designed cabinet.

The GK MB115 combo can do practice and small venues quite nicely at an affordable price.

I'm in a position where I'm able to buy a Fender SK-100B bass head

100 watts would be produced from this combo, reckon it'd be powerful enough to drown out a drummer, guitarist and vocals? with lets say a 50-100 watt guitar amp, just to do practices and small venue gigs.

Any thoughts?:hiding:

"Drown Out", No!!!
