We're pretty mch in the same boat here in Finland. Underage / teen drinking is pretty bad problem and teen DUI accidents are unfortunately almost weekly headliners. Last weekend a 20 year old run over a police officer during a chase, killing him. Breathalyzer test was 3.02 so he was still drinking while escaping. This kind of behaviour is more and more common with teens. Sad, really sad.

IMO it's ok if they kill themselves in the process, it's their choice, but usually DUI offenders kill innocent bystanders, girlfriends and mates. Latter do have the choice to say no, but how many actually will?

In here the drinking and driving usually starts around 14-15 (legal age for both, separately of course, is 18), the youngest caught that I remember was 10.

Loads of kids drink underage in Britain too, and I don't just mean like a can of lager nicked from the fridge, we're talking about young kids getting absoultey mothered on hard alcohol.

Back in the day, the only time a man would swig neat whsikey or Vodka was when he had been shot or when he was in the direst of trouble. These days, it's kids drinking like there is no tomorrow.

The Gorbals are pretty bad. What they did about 40 years ago is move alot of the worst families out of glasgow and to smaller towns, its not "people" like that who are runing my town! (well, thier offspring).

Sound control isnt in a bad bit at all i wouldnt say, its right in the middle of the city which isnt that bad :)



And to the underage drinking in the UK, tis true, most people i know were drinking for about 13-14. I started at 14 tanking bottles of vodka, and stopped after turning 18. Its the whole taboo nature of it that got me ;)

there is only 1 way to get rid of underage drinking problems... get rid of the drinking age.

If kids are raised being able to drink and to see what people are like when they're drunk, it will stop them from wanting to binge drink.

I can say this from experience. I'm 16, but my parents dont care if i drink. When i go to parties, i think its funny as hell watching everyone try to drink as much as possible as fast as possible, while i sit there and sip it. Its all psychological science: If something cannot be done, when it can be done legally or illegally (especially illegally) it will be done in excess.

i think now is the time to do all that excessive drinking...get it out of your system...because your body will not be able to handle it when your 30....when your in you teens you are a god...you can get trashed...and wake up the next day fresh as a daisy.

i know guys who left it too late...they were like mumas boys..and they try to catch up in their 30s...but its too late...they are a mess.

and the guys who have got all that **** behind them are moving on.

make hay while the sun shines...never a truer word has been said.
