I hear 'ya. I know the short scale would be easier on their hands.

My trouble is, the other two boys' parents (besides my son) have already bought them full-scale basses. If they were to use the shorty while they're here, then go home and practice on their 34-inchers, I'd worry that the consistency is missing.

Ed hit it on the head when he suggested that they bug their parents for a short scale.
