14,000.00 for a BASS. Is it worth it?

Maybe its the camera angle but that low angle shot over the fretboard from the 20th fret to the nut looks like there is some bridge/neck alignment thing going on.

I just found this bass I am thinking of adding it to my bass collection. I wanted to get an opinion from some other collectors about this one. I have heard that this paticular bass is worth a lot more than their asking, but someone else told me it was worth maybe 2 to 3000.00
I am seriously thinking about the buy it now option
whats your expert advice?

I don't think the bass is worth 14K TODAY. I do believe that the bass will eventually be worth that much, and hell, maybe a lot more. Sooner or later there won't be any left for sale. When was the last time you saw a surf green, daphne or sonic blue, up for sale? Hell, even the more popular CAR and LPB don't show up very often unless they are refins. So, if I was seriously interested in the bass, I'd talk the guy down as much as humanly possible, and examine the bass thoroughly before handing over the dough.

We're here for a good time, not a long time, so take that money and buy yourself basses that you are not going to be afraid to play. That's what basses are for, playing.

$14k is quite a price tag for that bass...............I'd just as soon get a custom Ritter and fly Jauqo in from Chicago to play "The Chicken" on it!!!
