I saw it. It was OK. It started out suspenseful but I thought it got a little over the top after he had been in the room for a while. I'm a big Stephen King fan, but I thought this was probably a slightly better than average movie from one of his stories.

I haven't actually read this story. If anybody reading this has, does the story explain who sent him the postcard with the room number in the first place?

The girl I went to see it with didn't like it nearly as much as me, she only saw it because she likes John Cusack as an actor.

I like John Cusack but also like Stephen King, and I thought it was a good movie. There was a couple of things that did confuse me like Eric had posted before me, but my only real complaint remains that I would've liked more resolution at the end. I suppose it was plenty to some people, but I would've wanted to at least have one more scene with Samuel L. Jackson or something.
