ID Tag 3.JPG can any one tell me about this. The S.N. is a Block letter A.S.4
Did American Standard use letters in there S.N. when they first started building bass's?

I'm a Hobby wood worker not a Luthier, But people bring bass's to me to fix. This one was brought to me back in Dec. to see if I could fix it. The owner had let some one use it and it took 5 years to get it back. It had been setting in an abandoned trailer all that time. The owner had had it for over 20 years and it was his first bass, so he wonted it fixed. The only thing he knew about it was it was an American Standard so I told him I would try to find out what I could. I sent a e-mail to H.N.White collectors page but I have not received an answer yet.
