That is my idea of perfect.
Not to much wear but not mint.
13500 isn't a bad price ether. If I had the cash right now I would be taking a road trip for that.

You know, I always liked two-tone sunburst better than three tone. It captures a very nice woody brown that you just don't get in the three-tone.

That is a really really nice bass. $13.5k - just shows you how the market has adjusted in the last 5 years.

 Just beautiful. I'd be surprised from the pics and the description if this wasn't 100% legit.

I don't get how the silks on 55yo strings look brand new while my 3 mo Chromes already look like a cat got after them. Imma doing something wrong.

The original strings are not the strings on the bass. The originals are in paper envelopes next to the bass.

That bass has been up for very close to a month, unsold at $13.5k. In Nashville of all places. The actual market value must be closer to $10grand? For a '58!

    "the original gig bag"

I had no idea they originally came in gig bags way back then. Is that true?

There is almost an identical 58 on reverb nation for 10.5 w/o the gig bag. About the same condition which could probably be had for 9.7 or 9.8...
