1958 Fender Precision on Craig's list

Missing strap button on the back of the headstock?

Look at this 1957 P.

No Strap button on the Headstock.

Its located on the Horn and both seem to be at the same angles.

You know, people are really good at forging vintage instruments these days - it's far too easy to do and it doesn't seem to take a lot to convince someone that a fake is the real thing - a lot of people are being taken, quite easily, too.

Maybe we can run these pics by someone at Fender?

I'd have an easier time taking you seriously if you weren't so vague and evasive. It's easy to say "it's fake". Not so easy to explain why. And suggesting that people who doubt you "look it up" only makes me believe you don't know what you're talking about.
