Hey everyone.
Here's one of my "save"projects.It's a 65' Epi Rivoli.
When I got it it was a basket case. Here's what it looks like now.
Looks pretty but she went under the knife for a major face lift.
The neck was bowed when I got it.The truss rod was stripped and had to be replaced. After I steamed the fretboard off I found rotted wood that was under the fretboard. The neck was planed down and new mohogany was installed.
I removed the "baritone boost"switch and filled in that hole as well as two other extras before refinishing. The boost was not functional when I got it.
All of the hardware and pickup is original. The bridge had a section hogged out on the G string. That was repaired but not rechromed.
Pots were replaced with CTS 250's and an 047 oil in paper cap
The neck was reset after all new frets were installed, leveled.crowned and polished.Abalone dots were also installed.
She sports nylon tapewounds for extra thud.
Paint and primer is ReRanch nitro Dakota Red..clearcoat is McFaddens..She's not dead on perfect but I'm happy with the results.
So If you are with me so far,how about some before pictures just so you know what we are looking at.
Well there it is.Comes with a non Original TKL case.If you are really interested I could do some really detailed pics.It currently has gold Gibson speed knobs on it.
The only trades that I'm looking for is a Gibson RD Artist..plus cash to even things up.This Bass is not for everyone but it is looking for a home.I put it up on my local Craigs List as well.
I'm asking $1000.00 shipped to the lower 48 states...
Thanks for taking the time to look.
Cheers.Gator.
Price Drop to $950 shipped CONUS...I was able to pick up an RD Artist over the weekend....
