1974 precision bass; name that wood

I've had this precision bass for some time and always wondered what type of wood the body is. It's a natural finish so shouldn't be too hard to tell. I'm not a expert so I figure this fine community could help. I currently only have one pic on my phone but could snap a few more if needed to identify. Here she is, mostly original less a tone pot and jack,

I found your bass shoutout the other day, some site posted it on Facebook. Killer little window into different era p basses. Yeah both these p basses are super bright. I keep trying to mellow out the 74. It is usually strung with roto flats but it has some GHS precision flats on it now. Just scored some brite flats and that might be a cool bridge between the roto and GHS p flats.
