More pics soon. Just got finished tweaking the bass and man is this thing taking me back:D. Nails the Spellbound period Alphonso Johnson vibe.

It's strung with D'Addario flats. I raised the pickups and lowered the saddles. First clue that something was different was the multiple wires on what I had thought were basic Bartolini J bass single coils. Took off the control plate and my suspicions were confirmed... active Barts. Very rare IME.

Both pickups on, this bass has more of an upright vibe. Bridge pickup soloed isn't the normal Jaco sound, much rounder with an airy top. No doubt some of that is the pickup, some is the strings... some of it might be me having fun with this bass.

Just need to find a trussrod cover and it's done.
