1980 Fender Precision Special - what's it worth?

I know this is a really old thread, but did you ever find a thumb rest?Hello! Does anyone know where to get the original brass thumbrest for this model?
I recently got this one but no thumbrest.
And really want to make the original look.
Any online store?

Mines a 1980. Yours looks like it's in beautiful condition, the pick ups aren't aged looking like mine.
I picked mine up from a guy on my local Craigslist. He was selling it for his buddy who owned it. The guy bought it in 1980 with the intent to learn how to play bass, he never did and it sat in a case for over 30 years until I bought it. It's in pretty perfect condition but yours looks pretty mint.

Thanks! I did the same thing here local CL. I just had it checked out and set up. It's in really good shape with all the parts there and working. It does have a few little worn chips on the paint but I'm not going to have the paint done over! I like the way it looks.
