1980 Hamer Standard 4 String Bass. Serial Number 0373

I have owned this from new in 1980 as a special order.

It was played very hard through the 80s and I retired it in 1992. I recently took it out of its case and and it was in very poor shape, indeed. So I have cleaned it up and gone through everything and, to me, it is now back to original playing condition.

What do you guys think?

I kick myself every time I remember I could have bought an original CruiseBass from that time period . . . but didn't.

The O-riginal Cruisebass from the 80's, not the later FSO object Kaman marketed later. Mahogany body, and one of the first factory PJ basses. Occasionally sighted in rare 5-string form. Hamer smartly left space between the bridge and the Jazz pickup, which helps tone a great deal.
