Selling my 1981 Gibson Victory Standard bass. As you can see from the photos, there is some cosmetic wear on the bass , but not unusual for a 35 year old instrument. Sounds and plays great. I thought I would play it more often but it hasn’t gotten as much love as it should lately. Needs a home that will give her some attention. Comes with hard case.

Would prefer a cash sale but will accept trades for vintage tube amps. No basses please. I am trying to thin the herd here. Thanks for looking!

:thumbsup: I used to have that exact bass ( in shiny new condition ). Mine was monstrous sounding and very comfortable to play - I dunno why Victory basses didn't get more love back in the day. GLWTS!!

Bought a red Victory Standard recently, and it's an amazing instrument. Now I'm searching for a Ebony one. As mikewalker stated, it does sound monsterous, but still remains punchy amongst noisy, down-tuned guitar players.
