1985 Wal Mk1 Lined Fretless black poly with OHSC (flight case). Black poly finish. You'll see in the pictures below that it was "signed off" by Ian Waller (how cool is that?!). In very good condition for a 31 year-old bass. This bass was bought new from the Bass Centre in the UK by the previous owner. It was primarily stored in his climate controlled house from 1985-present. There are some scratches and small dents (mostly on the back of the body in the form of some localized buckle rash). Neck and headstock are in great shape. Fingerboard is also in great shape with minor string marks (still feels great and no dead notes that I could detect). Hardware in great shape. Electronics work just fine. Mwah for days all up and down the neck. Beautiful sounding bass. I would keep it, but I just found an Mk3 5-string so this one has to go.

Price lowered to $3800 shipped, insured and professionally packed by UPS. CONUS. No trades.

Pics below are from the previous owner (the condition hasn't changed in the past two days!). Thanks for looking.

Thanks! It's so nice that if it doesn't sell soon I might just decide to keep it.

might as well!!!....Wal fretless basses are the bee's knees ;)

actually reminds of this post by a fallen Wal Club TB member.....

That's one of the biggest problems with Wal basses as far as I'm concerned... it's extremely hard to own just one!

i bet the solid shedua figuring is breath taking underneath that black poly ;)

Not shedua, "sareya" ...which is probably a misspelling of seraya, a tropical wood species more commonly called luan or Phillipine mahogany. Probably looks like a backyard patio underneath that black poly!
