1985 Wal Mk1 Lined Fretless black poly with OHSC (flight case). Black poly finish. You'll see in the pictures below that it was "signed off" by Ian Waller (how cool is that?!). In very good condition for a 31 year-old bass. This bass was bought new from the Bass Centre in the UK by the previous owner. It was primarily stored in his climate controlled house from 1985-present. There are some scratches and small dents (mostly on the back of the body in the form of some localized buckle rash). Neck and headstock are in great shape. Fingerboard is also in great shape with minor string marks (still feels great and no dead notes that I could detect). Hardware in great shape. Electronics work just fine. Mwah for days all up and down the neck. Beautiful sounding bass. I would keep it, but I just found an Mk3 5-string so this one has to go.

Price lowered to $3800 shipped, insured and professionally packed by UPS. CONUS. No trades.

Pics below are from the previous owner (the condition hasn't changed in the past two days!). Thanks for looking.

The data tag signature only indicated who had time to do the final inspection, not built by.

  9. Question: are there side dots (markers) along the edge of the fingerboard and, if so, do they fall between the fretlines (as they would on a typical fretted bass) or on the fretlines? Thank you.

Thanks! It's so nice that if it doesn't sell soon I might just decide to keep it.

Ha! That's what they often say over at the Spector club. Unfortunately, I can't afford to own multiple Spector USA AND Wal basses! Decisions, decisions...
