This is a very cool first generation Yamaha BB-5000A. This is the model with the narrow string spacing (15.5 mm) that many pro players from the 80's and 90's used on lots of hit country, pop and rock records.
This one has several bumps and bruises (very hard to photograph) from it's almost 30 years of being played but the neck is straight, the action is low and the truss rod works as it should. There are no noticeable dings on the back of the neck and it feels great. The stock active 2 band preamp is quiet and fully functional.
Because of the narrow string spacing many bassists find these to be very easy to play, particularly if you have small hands, although they are a little hard to slap on IMO.
I like this bass quite a bit but like many of us, I have too many basses so I'm offering this one back up. It's kind of rare to find one of these used so you might want to jump on it if you feel it's the right bass for you.

I would prefer to sell it outright so I could pay some bills but I will listen to trade offers +/- cash. Mostly interested right now in a maple board P Bass but feel free to run anything by me as long as it's not too heavy.
Open a private conversation with me if you have any questions or if you want to propose some kind of trade. I'd like to keep this thread as clean as possible, thanks!
