1996 Ken Smith B.M.T. Elite G 5 Sting Bass for Sale

I have a mint condition, 100% Original Ken Smith 5 string bass for sale. It has the following features:

    - 7 Piece Body (Mahogany Core, Quited Maple T/B, Walnut, and Bubinga)
    - 7 Piece 34 scale Neck (Maple, PurpleHeart, and Bubinga)
    - Exhibition Grade Quilt Top (AAAAA)
    - Macassar Ebony Fingerboard
    - Large Mother of Pearl Dots on Top and Sides
    - Gold Hardware
    - Weighs slightly under 10 lbs
    - Original Smith B.M.T 3 Band EQ Circuit
    - Original Custom Bass Humbucking Pickups
    - Hand Rubbed Laquer Finish over Stradivari Gold Oil
    - Original Black Ken Smith HardShell Case (Near Mint and very heavy duty)
    - Comes with an extra set of Ken Smith Strings, KS Strap, and all other Ken Smith Goodies.

If you are looking for a high end 5 string bass, this is it. It has everything beauty, sound, and feel. This one will not dissapoint. It SOUNDS INCREDIBLE, LOOKS AMAZING, and PLAYS LIKE BUTTER. Ken Smith knows what he is doing. This bass today would retail for over $7100 and the street value would exceed $5300. Get it today for $3250 and keep it for life. The 34 inch scale neck plays like butter and the low b string is very focused. This bass has one of the best sounding B strings and the high strings tone does not sound thin (like many 35 scale basses). This bass has it all, the only reason Ken is not making the BMT today is production cost. You could make a BSR a BMT model, but you would have to add $1300 in upgrades. If you have any questions or would like pictures, email me.

Get an incredible bass for a great price. I don't know if they make them like this anymore. IF you were looking at purchasing a Fodera, Ken Smith, or Alembic save yourself some time and cash and purchase this one. I hate to let it go, but with a new child comes less time for my hobbies. This baby needs to be played and heard by the world.

I will trade for cash, money orders, or maybe paypal. I don't think there is anything out there that can rival the bass so if it came down to it, I would keep it.

I am not interested in any other bass only selling it outright.

Thanks for the offer though and I appreciate the complements. It is a very beautiful piece and it sounds 10 times better than it looks. You should hear the harmonics on this thing. It is like hearing a bell chorus at Church around Christmas time.

    Thanks,
    kraig

Since I have received serveral emails asking the same thing, I will respond to the website:

I am asking $3250, but I will accept the best cash offer for the bass. Again to have this bass made by smith today would cost over $7000 retail to make and with the street price discount it would still cost over $5300, so I think $3250 is in the right range.

    thanks,
    kraigg007
