1mA bias difference between tubes?

I've read up and I know I should get a matched set of power tubes. I need 6x 6550s and right now I can get 3 matched @ 38 bias and 3 matched @ 39 bias.

I was told they can be up to 3mA off to work?

I know they will work when theyre not a complete matched set.. however how much of a difference would matching 3x @ 38 and 3x @ 39?

I am not going for the cleanest tone so I don't really care much for having break up sooner... if that even matters?
