1U Rack Mixer w/ FX Loop and Mutes Exist?

So I’m looking to connect my various rackmount bass and guitar preamps to a single-space rackmount line mixer. 8 channels will do.
I’d like for the mixer to have a mute button for each channel so I can leave the levels where I want them, mute them all, and then simply un-mute the preamp I wish to use.
I’d also like a main effects loop with an fx level knob at each channel. This way I can use a single fx unit to cover all the preamps.

Does it exist?
Peavey Line Mix 8 seems to have it covered, with TWO fx loops to boot, but is a 2-space unit. I can’t afford the real estate in my rack. Owners manual dates this model to 1989.

Behringer Eurorack Pro RX1602 is a single-space unit but seems to lack the fx loop send/return.

Ashly LX308B, no fx loop.

Good call, I’m looking at the manual. I’m not understanding how an fx send input is useful without an fx return input. I just don’t know this stuff but I’m trying to understand it.

The Peavey Line Mix 8 seems more straightforward to me, and I’m considering upgrading my rack size to accommodate. However, quality-wise, how will the 30ish year old Peavey perform vs. a new Samson unit? I’m a bit skeptical of Samson stuff.

I’m not understanding how an fx send input is useful without an fx return input.

For this mixer, its expecting that whatever you send your FX signal too will then take it's output and send it to the amp. So really unless your amp has two inputs, you can't mix an FX signal + a clean output signal from this mixer

All I’m really trying to do here is rack my various bass/guitar preamps together, connect them to a hub, and then into my DAW interface. If I could insert an effects unit into the hub (for reverbs, etc.), allowing all preamps to use it, that would be ideal.

LINE IN VOLUME – The SM10 features two additional stereo Line Inputs (channels 9 and 10) which can be used to return the outputs of the an external effects processor, or to connect the output of any stereo line level device to the main mix.

So feed the FX return to the Line In, and then send it all out the mains

Not really. A brand new unit is just as likely to fail as an old unit nowadays.

If you want a 1u slot and to not redo your rack, seems like that Sm10 is your only fits-the-bill option (short of DIY if youre good with electronics)

I've had a couple of different pieces of Samson rack gear (not the SM10 but eg. S-phone) - they were pretty noisy units. YMMV.
