2-10 or 1-15 Cab

Can anyone offer an opinion as to what would be the better route. I am trying to work a deal to get a Mesa M-9 Carbine and wanted to know what would be the best speaker cab selection 2-10 Cab or a 1-15 cab? I would like to have both, but budget won't allow that right now. What would you go with right now assuming you would get the other down the road?

There's been at least 2 threads asking this same exact thing in the past week or two. A simple search of 2x10 or 210 in the amps forum should get you what you need.

If you're getting only one cab, go with the fifteen for now. You'll get more out of it tone and volume wise as a single cab than you will a 2x10.

That's ALOT of amp for either by itself, but at least the 15 would look the part a bit better. Really though, that's an awful lot of amp for such a very little bit of speaker.

+1. WAAAAAAY too much wattage for those cabs. You'll never use anywhere close to all of it in your average 210 and 115.

You can't simplify it this much. Which 2x10" and which 1x15"? It all comes down to the individual designs.

True, and that's why I said your average 210 and 115. Now if he's using Acmes, maybe that's a good thing to have a lot of wattage.
