2 handed tapping question

Ok, there is a tapping part in one of our songs that the guitarist does. If I want to do it on bass its, left hand 5th fret on A, while tapping the 8th fret with the right hand. Then 6 on a A,while tapping on 9. My question is, if I where to do 2 handed tapping, what frets would I play?

What is 2 handed tapping? you described using both your right and left hands. I'm confused.

yea, that is a bit confusing. By 2 handed tapping I mean using both hands to tap notes. Right now I use my fretting hand to hold down the note, while my right hand taps a note. I guess this would be a better example

Two hand tapping is a technique to play notes. Switching from one hand to two doesn't change the notes, it changes how you play them. Maybe ask your guitarist what he's playing?

I think i might have an understanding how it might be done now. iirc, the guitarist plays 8 and 11, then 9 and 12 all on Eb. The way he does it is, he keeps the 8th fret, fretted while tapping the 11with his right hand, then the same for 9 and 12. I play 5 and 8, then 6 and 9 on Ab. If I try to do it that way, it doesn't sound clear. Would it be better if I hammered the 5th fret(left hand), then hammer/pull the 8th fret with my right hand and just back and forth?

It sounds much more convenient to do with one hand, hammer 5-6 with pointer then pull off 8-9 with ring.

It could be sounding unclear because you're tapping on quite low notes. Try an octave or two higher. I personally prefer the sound of single string tapping higher on on the G string.
