Double Bass 2 Wizzy 10's with Micro 300?

Hey, Folks,

My rig right now is a Micro 300 and Wizzy 10. It's fine for all my double bass needs.

But there are situations where I'm playing bass guitar and I'd like my sound to be bigger than what that rig gives me. If I add a second Wizzy will that make a substantial difference, or should I be looking elsewhere for my bass guitar needs?

I'm not doubling the DB and BG on the same gig. I'm using the BG exclusively for West African gigs, with lots of drums, which is where I need the volume. But space in my apartment is limited, so it would be nice to add just one Wizzy 10 to my existing rig, if that would work.

That works for me. I have used the same rig with 2 wizzy 10". It's just a matter of how loud you need to be.

hey Bassdaddyfive, i see in your profile you also have a wizzy mline. I have a doubler head and a wizzy 10 and i play only double bass (with gage and full circle pickups) .
I need another speaker most of the time for a fuller "multidimensional" sound. You think its better another wizzy 10 or the 12 ? have you tried both combinations? whats the difference ?whats your favourite solution for a double bass jazz gig with low to medium volume? how do you place the speakers?

I would get a Wizzy 12 instead.

I have a Wizzy 12M and love it - lightweight, compact, easy carry, works well will DB and electric; for louder gigs, I use it with a VL208.

The 12" Mline will give you a bigger low end. Like I said, how loud do you need to be. I stack my 10" wizzys on top of each other, you know, feet down. The 10" gives me a little more punch for BG. The 12" mline x 2 would rattle the walls in a midsize venue if enough power is used.
