It's gonna be very hard for me to let this Moddy go. I've had it for over 6 years and it has served me fantastically through many gigs with multiple bands, in that time. It's incredibly fast playing, with flawless action, zero fret buzz and perfect intonation. It has an incredible AAAAA quilted maple top upgrade w/sienna burst finish. Not to mention tons of awesome aftermarket upgrades! It is a stone cold stunner, not just in looks and playability but also in sound. It is seriously the single best sounding jazz bass I've ever heard (let alone owned).

It's massive sound comes from the aftermarket Nordstrand split coil pickups and the John East U-retro pre-amp. Simply unreal, huge 3-dimensional tone. In addition, the previous owner had a custom rosewood thumb rest installed, hipshot detuner, custom routed battery compartment, satin neck and Babicz bridge. There are also block inlay stickers on the fretboard for looks (easily removable if they're not your thing). Weighs in at ~10 lbs.

It's still in great condition, for its age. I have taken very good care of it over the years. There are some small, superficial dings and finish-fogging here and there but nothing major or outstanding. Also a little bit of the poly finish on the neck has clouded a tiny bit near the fretboard (common for graphite necks) but it's strictly cosmetic and doesn't affect the stability or playability of the bass at all. This thing is a lifer.

OHSC included w/original paperwork, as well as a super comfortable custom matching leather/memory foam strap ($115 value)!

Asking $2300 OBO shipped CONUS. Considering all the upgrades, this is a steal. I am actually taking a bit of a loss on this in hopes this will sell fast (life emergencies). Thanks for looking!

Very nice!! Are the blocks and binding stickers? Can’t really tell. I just don’t remember them being made with those features back then.

    I mean...

    yeah.

just seeing this brought me happiness.

Nordstrand pickups are underrated as well. They are the best balance of character / tone, but with full functional low end to drive the band.

    this really has everything.

not at all in the market, so GLWTS!

Thank you, man! Yeah, this is the best sounding bass I've ever played. Hopefully some lucky person will give it good home and make some more awesome recordings with it!

Is the fingerboard plain or dot inlays?

    Dot inlays I'm pretty sure.
