Double Bass 2009 bluegrass festival plans

If you're wanting to attend a good festival check this one out. It's held July 1st thru 4th in Morganton, NC. It's not free but it's close to free. We've already got folks coming from places like PA, WI, VA and many other states.

I'll be at Bluegrass First Class in Asheville, NC, tonight and again tomorrow. I will have my American Standard #731 strung with gut strings with me, probably jamming at some point. I'm a big oaf, but a friendly one. If you're there I'll gladly show you my bass if you're curious.

We were just in Asheville last month. I would have come back for that festival, looks great, but we were at the Joe Val Festival in Boston. It was incredible.

Later this year I'll be heading for Gettysburg, Greyfox, maybe Podunk in Hartford.....

Stuff is happening for Red White and Bluegrass Festival, at times way too fast for me. It is fast approaching! We're going to have a time and from the looks of advanced sales, we're going to have a crowd!

If you visit the site, there's info about calling a box office to phone in your ticket orders AND you can buy tickets online via the site store & Paypal. The box office will operate until 5 PM eastern time this Friday, June, 26. The online sales will cease at midnight (again eastern time) on Sunday night, June 28th.

I hope to see you if you visit. I'll be in charge of the back stage activities and artist relations (not that I'll be actually taking on any match-maker duties, though, too much drama < G >).
