You may want to re-educate yourself on the Sterling. Its not a budget model like the SUB was, or the Rockbass is.

"Sterling by Musicman"
and you will see EBMM has made a new line of guitars and basses that are built overseas. In Sterling's defense he did not come up with the name but our friends at Guitar Center/MF did. It would have been more marketable to me at least if it had MUSICMAN on the headstock instead of STERLING and by musicman in small font.
