2009 rockbasses?

You do realise you're talknig a single millimetre, right? You're completely crossing a line of basses of your potentials list, because the strings are a single millimetre too close? That's crazy man :P

And I love that Fortress fretless. I've been wanting a fretless Warwick ever since I picked up a fretless rockbass in a shop for about ten seconds last year.

It can make a difference, I disliked the Warwick 5's for having such narrow string spacing.

Warwick like G&L wised up and made their lower end models less noticeable as being noticably "cheap". Something Spector has done very well in their Legend and Performer lines. The Rockbasses now have the traditional "W" on the headstock instead of the godawful ROCKBASS by Warwick emblem and placed Rockbass on the trussrod cover. PLUS they added the classic 2 piece bridge further making these basses look less cheap.

I hope EBMM follows suit with the Sterling by Musicman. I was happy with the SUB moniker but hey just my 2 cents

Both brands look very much like the real deal, big improvement over their old cheaper models IMO.

GK should follow suit with thier Backline stuff.

I think this was an awesome move for Warwick, and I think sales are going to go up bigtime - provided their prices on Rockbasses don't - but ya know... on second though, I'm not going to to count on that. I've a feeling the new Rockbasses are going to have new prices that are going to probably be a lot higher than the current blowout prices of the real things.

I picked my Rockbass from GC back in 2007 on clearance for $99. :bassist:
I never play it though, not really my thing.
But the new Rockbasses do look really nice, not a plain as before.
