2011 or 2012 Fender Jazz American Standard

Are there any other advantages and disadvantages or differences? For my specific case, getting a 2011 would mean I still pay around 1300 for a 1.5 year old instrument, but can pay in 12 month interest-free installments, while getting a 2012 would mean paying a couple hundred bucks extra for shipping, and a couple weeks of waiting, while paying all at once.

You have identified the only significant difference (CS '60s pickups), and to me that would not be worth an extra $200. So, unless you just have to have the new color (Jade Pearl Metallic), I would go for the 2011.

I have a 2011 Am. Std. Precision V and a 2012 Am. Dxl. Jazz V and both are excellent basses.
