I've decided its time to sell my 120th anniversary Gibson SG Special. This is a great bass. It sounds amazing for certain songs, but I think I just need to play a bass that's a little more versatile. This is one of the only basses I've ever bought new, so I did my best to baby it. the front is very clean. some small indentations in the back, right above the control plate in the picture, they may or may not polish out. Its kind of the nature of the satin finish. best picture I could take of the swirls/indentations/marks in the back. finish is worn smooth around the strap button from a strap. case has some minor dings, especially around the edges. Its not close to ratty or anything like that. Its just been used as a case. It has been meticulously trained for the strap to (usually) fold inside the case, instead of hang out. Take a look at your guitar player's les paul case sometime, and see if he's accomplished this feat. I already know what bass I'm getting to replace this, and its already all set up, so I can't accept any trades right now. This seems to be about the going rate on ebay for these. I'm always willing to listen to offers, but I have a pretty good idea what I should be getting out of this. $750. If it doesn't sell in a week or so, I'll list it on ebay.
I thought I've seen 34" scale ones, but that may have been Epiphone. Thanks and GLWTS. This is a cool bass!
I have one of these - they're a nice USA-made bass and that's a good price. Not all were branded, but those are Grover tuners on there and the bridge mod expands your choice of strings (silks). GLWTS
