For sale is a very special Elrick Gold Series E-Volution 5 string bass.
Hand built by Rob Elrick at his shop near Chicago.

This bass was built for Brandi Wynne of Ozric Tentacles and used briefly for their 2016 tour.

This bass features many deluxe appointments and plays and sounds like a dream!!!
The specs:
  • Burled Walnut top
  • Swamp Ash body
  • Bartolini soapbar pickups
  • Bartolini 3-band preamp with 3-way mid and active bypass,
  • Wenge fretboard
  • 6-string style peghead
  • Dircrolam block fretboard inlays
  • Weight is in the low 7lb range
  • Original Elrick hardshell case included
This bass was played for only a handful of shows, and has been well taken care of. There are some tiny dings on the headstock that barely show up in photos, and one or two tiny dings on the lower bout of the body that barely show up in photos as well. Frets show no real wear.

Aloha, ..Or., not nearly as tropical as it sounds!
Good lord what a stunning beauty from the genius and hands of Rob. Since I’m pretty sure it’s 35” scale, I’m saved from temptation........for now...... but, that is so close to perfection, for me I’m gobsmacked. I seriously doubt it will be here long at all but, GLWTS I give it about 48hrs.
