2017 Fender AmPro Jazz V

I’m in Panama City, Fl, and came across a minty/barely used 2017 AmPro Jazz V for sale in a local music shop for $1199. Does this seem like a good deal to you? The story is a local church bought it, barely used it, and sold it back to the music store. My impulse was to buy it, but I am giving myself a couple of days to think it through, before I fly back to Northern Virginia next week. I did have eyes on this bass, but here are some pictures from its Facebook Marketplace ad:

Nice score. I bought a 2018 version last summer for a good deal more. Awesome bass. Congrats.

Its a Fender - expecting neck pockets to be perfect?

The answer to the real question is...the price is reasonable enough that it doesn't matter. The only rationale you should use to decide is (you need to play it to answer this question) - does this bass make you want to play it enough that you will practice more? If so, buy the thing. If not, leave it on the wall.

That maple neck and fretboard are pretty much identical to my 4 astringent 90 Jazz Plus, and I can tell you it is the sweetest one I own. I just played it today, and if the bass didn't weigh so much I would never put it down.
