Let me speak on behalf of a simple bass.
I bought this Squier Debut P Bass in June...$130 via Amazon. Put a set of EB Cobalt Flats on it, a good set up and it's a player. Play it in public 2-3x / month with our church band. The J Neck on the P Body is a joy to play.

I've mentioned this all over the place but...
My bass transactions for 2024 included selling off a modded Schecter Stiletto Stealth 4 (very good bass I got last year, but not quite for me) and using some of that money to buy a sweet sweet SWEET 2018 Fender Aerodyne from a fellow TBer. I feel like I got a Lexus bass at a Corolla price.

Two yellow Squier Sonic P basses. Blue Epiphone Newport. Glarry Burning Fire. Sterling Ray 34 HH Charcoal (?) Burl. Blue Sterling Ray 2 (Intro model). Warwick Gnome iPro 300W amp. Rumble 500 Combo (the only "necessary" purchase). Zoom B1 X Four pedal. TC Thrust BQ500. Xvive IEM. KZ ZS10 ear buds. Pretty great deals all around. Have a custom build on the way. Paid for but not in my hands yet.

2023 was a quiet year, 2024 was near a church mouse
Just the one acquisition. I'd actually planned on building this a couple of years back but others took precedence. Recent health issues and housing issues caused me to pack up the workshop
Got the itch when a significant birthday hit so made a call 
You see a Panga Panga neck/fretboard with a bone nut. Body is weight relieved mahogany with a black walnut drop top. For electronics I had a Neodymium hum-cancelling 'single coil' wound and 2 x 250k pots with 0.1 cap. Gotoh tuners and compensated bridge. Man those bridges are expensive !! Oil finish.
Whole thing took 6 weeks from the call to plugging in
This sums it up minus the D350. I also picked up a nice Shuttle 3.0.

Steinberger GT Pro - generic photo, but you get the idea. Has a string adapter, bearings on the tuners and an 81/S/89 set to go into it.

Some parts and accessories too like a couple of PUs for other guitars and a TC Electronic pedal tuner as both my Planet Waves pedal and Korg rack tuners died near simultaneously.
