250k vs 50k potensio

Whats the big issued if i use 50k potensio in fender pasif jazzbass? Which ussually using 250k?

the higher the resistance you have on the pot, the brighter the sound will be. 50k passive will be dark and muddy. 500k passive with single coils will be BRIGHT!!

50k is far too direct of a load for most high impedance pickups. You will lose output.
