(edit) Also, pro tip: This is going to sound really obvious and cheesy, but it worked for me. When you sit down to learn a new tune, start by writing the bass clef at the beginning of each staff and drawing some bar lines to divide the staff into empty measures. Then you aren't looking at a completely blank page. It's such a small thing, but it makes a big psychological difference, in my experience.
